What are Networks?

Some Network Basics

NODE: a connection point in a networks topology at which lines intersect or branch. From the Latin nodus, or ‘knot’) is also called a vertex (graph theory).

CONNECTION: line between two points, nodes or vertices also called an edge (graph theory)

HUB: A cluster or connection of multiple network nodes making them act as a single network segment.

BETWEENNESS CENTRALITY: is a measure of a node’s centrality in a network. Betweenness Centrality displays the shortest paths from all vertices to all others that pass through that node.
